CTV and The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) recently announced that 2015 Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee Alanis Morissette, as well as electronic music phenomenon Deadmau5, electro-pop artist Lights, and rockers Sam Roberts Band, are all set to perform during the 2015 Junos broadcast next month.
Morissette, a mainstay at the Junos and the recipient of 13 Juno Awards including five for her 1995 project Jagged Little Pill, which was released 20 years ago, joins previously announced performers Arkells, Hedley, Kiesza, MAGIC!, and Shawn Mendes. Honoured over the years with seven Grammy Awards and two Golden Globe Award nominations as well, Morissette will be celebrated at the 44th Junos. “It is an honour to be honoured by my home country that I adore so much,” she said on the Junos website.
“Alanis forged a new path for women in music when she released Jagged Little Pill in 1995 and became one of the most influential singer-songwriter-musicians in contemporary music,” said Allan Reid, President & CEO, CARAS/The Juno Awards. “Her induction to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame is more than deserving. We are incredibly proud to be honouring her long history of accomplishments and celebrating her one of a kind voice at the 2015 Juno Awards.”
Also just announced: Juno Award-winning and internationally acclaimed alternative R&B sensation The Weeknd is also set to make his Juno Awards performance debut during the live broadcast. Accompanied by co-writer and producer Stephan Moccio, The Weeknd takes to the Juno stage with a performance of his hit single “Earned It” from the soundtrack to the film Fifty Shades of Grey.

The 2015 Junos will take place at Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre on Sunday, March 15th and will be broadcast on CTV.
