We’re days away from bidding farewell to 2014. So first off, Happy New Year to all of you! We hope you all had a stellar year, and wish for great things to come in 2015.
2015 is a year dense with video games, both large (AAA) and small (indie). If you were disappointed by 2014, 2015 will make up for it. Many of the hottest unreleased games will arrive during the next 12 months, with more to come as announcements are made through the year. Best of all, it’s strong from beginning to end provided you own more than one platform.

From Software has been on a roll since it debuted Demon's Soul s on the PS3. The Souls games are regarded as some of the best games of the past decade, and Bloodborne looks to carry the torch.

Halo 5: Guardians
Platform: Xbox One
Release Date: Q3/Q4 2015
Level of Excitement: 7/10
Check Out: Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Impressions
The Halo 5: Guardians Early Multiplayer Beta reinforced the common belief that the game will be a big deal in 2015. Its gunplay feels just right, and new gameplay mechanics add welcomed complexity to the experience. If its campaign is anything like the multiplayer beta has shown us, then this isn't just the first-person shooter to look forward to in 2015, but one of the biggest games in general.
Heroes of the Storm
Platform: PC
Release Date: Early 2015
Level of Excitement: 6/10
Check Out: HotS is the Next Big Thing in Online Gaming
MOBA has quickly become the most popular video game genre in the world. Sadly, it's taken Blizzard a while to catch on, but that will soon change when HotS hits full release.
Those who have played the Alpha know that HotS is a game that goes out of its way to deviate from the long list of MOBAs that have oversaturated the industry, and focuses on quick fun rather than high skillcap competition. That, combined with the fact that everything Blizzard touches turns to gold (see Hearthstone and Diablo 3 ), has made myself and many others excited for what's to come from HotS .
Persona 5
Platforms: PS4, PS3
Release Date : Late 2015
Level of Excitement: 4/10
Check Out: Persona 5 Official Logo & Teaser Revealed
Nothing has been shown of Persona 5 outside of very subtle media, but even then the hype for its release is through the roof. Why? Well, Persona is the best-rated modern JRPG franchise, and it's only gotten better over the years. If Persona 5 is anything other than amazing the world will be stunned.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox 360
Release Date: Late 2015
Level of Excitement: 3/10
Check Out: Rise of the Tomb Raider Announcement
Lara Croft's resurgence in 2013 was an epic one that took some of the best qualities of modern action adventure games, and combined them with a harrowing adventure about one of gaming's most iconic female characters. Nothing has been seen of the game, but Crystal Dynamics has proven that it knows how to make a killer game. That's enough to be excited.
Star Wars: Battlefront
Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PC
Release Date: Late 2015
Level of Excitement: 3/10
Check Out: Star Wars: Battlefront Teaser Trailer
Star Wars: Battlefront 's announcement at E3 2013 was one of the show's highlights. This is a game with tremendous potential that, as with several other games on this list, has shown very little. With DICE at the helm and a rich franchise history rich it's unlikely that it'll be anything other than fantastic.
The Legend of Zelda for Wii U

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Release Date: Late 2014
Level of Excitement: 5/10
Check Out: 1080p Uncharted 4 Gameplay Premier
Quite a few of us found Uncharted 4: A Thief's End 's gameplay debut underwhelming, but this is a game being made by Naughty Dog. To doubt it would be unwise. It is sure to be one of the PS4's greatest exclusives in 2015.
