Reggie Watts is the New ‘Late Late Show’ Bandleader

First Jimmy shook things up with The Roots, then Seth pulled a fast one with Fred Armisen, but the latest bandleader addition to the late-night talk show family is a real trump card: Reggie Watts has joined the Late Late Show as the new bandleader for the soon-to-be-revamped program.

Watts, a comedian, musician and weirdo extraordinaire, will join brand new host James Corden on the show, which is seeing longtime host Craig Ferguson depart. If you have any doubts in regards to how truly awesome this development is, check out Reggie’s phenomenal “Taxidermy Love” improv song with Queens of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme.

The CBS show will return with its new host and format on March 23, a two week push-back on the original launch date. It will follow the Late Show, which will see David Letterman passing the late-night baton to Stephen Colbert.
