Fleetwood Mac and Queen Will Not Be Headlining Glastonbury 2015

Tickets for Glastonbury 2015 sold out in record time this year, and part of the reason for that was reportedly due to the rumours that Fleetwood Mac and Queen (sans Freddie Mercury, of course) would be headlining the festival. However, festival organiser Michael Eavis has confirmed that will not be the case.

Speaking to Music Week Eavis was asked about the rumours, to which he replied: “Queen? Not Queen, no. Fleetwood Mac don’t seem to be available at the moment. But we’ve got three excellent headliners for next year.”

One of those headliners, Eavis said, has “been around for a long time”, which will lead to yet more speculation. Currently the veteran band that charts highest in bookmakers’ predictions are AC/DC, so could they be the ones to take to the Pyramid Stage next year?

Other predicted bands include the likes of Oasis (who aren’t even together), Muse, Kate Bush and Coldplay.

Glastonbury 2015 sold out completely in 26 minutes, with 120,000 tickets making their way to festival-goers. A resale of tickets will take place in the Spring, though will be in limited supply.
