Scott Glenn Is Stick In Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’ Series

In the 2003 Daredevil feature film, the character Stick was left out of the story despite strong ties to Matt Murdock and Elektra. But that won’t be the case in Netflix’s upcoming “Daredevil” series.

Marvel has announced that Scott Glenn has been cast as Stick in “Daredevil.” As created by Frank Miller in 1981, Stick was the martial arts master who trained Matt Murdock after the accident that blinded him and gave him radar senses. Stick’s only other appearance in live action was in the 2005 Elektra film where he was portrayed by Terence Stamp.

In a statement, Marvel Head of Television Jeph Loeb said “Stick is one of the most important figures in Matt Murdock’s life and Scott Glenn embodies all the qualities of someone so integral to this hero’s journey. There are few actors who could bring such the authenticity, gravitas and charisma to such a key role in Matt’s journey to become the super hero we call Daredevil.”

Glenn is best known for his roles in The Silence of The Lambs, The Hunt For Red October and The Bourne Ultimatum.
