Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is the next new installment for the Resident Evil franchise. Arriving next year, it stars fan favorite Claire Redfield along with Moira Burton—Barry’s daughter. Today, we get a closer look at what it looks like.
Since Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is coming to next-gen consoles, Capcom is investing itself in learning how to optimize for the new hardware. So, it goes without saying that even though it’s in pre-alpha, the game currently looks better than any previous Resident Evil game. The character models have much higher polygon counts, and the shadow and lighting quality adds a tangible creepiness factor to the game.

Capcom is emphasizing that Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will bring back the survival horror qualities of past games that Resident Evil 6 jeopardized. It’ll present tense gameplay scenarios where many times it’s better to run away from enemies than tackle them head-on.
