Gorgeous Festival has announced three Australian roots music stars atop of its 2014 lineup.
The Beautiful Girls will accompany multi-instrumentalist and two-time ARIA nominee Xavier Rudd and The Waifs for two days this November in South Australia’s McLaren Vale.
After a long stint on the road, The Waifs will perform a back catalogue of hits from a careering spanning more than 20 years while the Beautiful Girls will add new material from upcoming album Dancehall Days, set for release on October 3rd.
Following last year’s lineup featuring John Butler Trio, Eskimo Joe and Lanie Lane, Gorgeous Festival 2014 will also feature Queensland duo Bubsy Marou, indie heroes The Cairos, Glastonbury favourites Echo & The Empress, plus Canadians Elliot Brood, Kim Wempe and Tim Chaisson.
Gorgeous Festival will be held at the Serafino Winery November 28th-29th featuring a night of camping, and for the first time since the festival’s launch in 2008, a long-table dinner on the Friday.
“While we’ve always incorporated premium regional food and wine into our offering, we’re going one step further this year by introducing ‘Gorgeous Table’ on the Friday evening, details of which will be announced soon,” director Alistair Cranney said.
