Forza Horizon 2 is one of this Fall’s racing elite. Although it’s similar to the rest of the Forza series in that it has hundreds of highly detailed cars and a highly sophisticated driving model, it’s going bigger than the series has ever gone before.
Forza Horizon 2‘s open-world is taken straight from France and Italy’s most beautiful areas. Turn 10 Studios has visited these remarkable countries to ensure that what’s in the game does Southwestern Europe justice. It’ll also have a full weather system, adding a bit of unpredictability to the world.
A user by the name ToiJu on NeoGAF has compiled images of Forza Horizon 2‘s map straight from GameRiot‘s footage on YouTube. This is the first time the full map has ever been seen, and it’s massive. See below:

As seen in the image, Sisteron, Nice, Saint Martin, San Giovanni, Montellino, and Castelletto are the cities and towns that have been featured. Nice is the largest of the bunch, and has more road length than most tracks in Forza Motorsport 5.
You may notice that most of the map isn’t suburban, but rather dense with vineyards, farms, and nature. You’ll be able to take your vehicles off-road in search of shortcuts during racing sequences, adding a bit of risk reward to the racing experience. There will also be some collectibles hidden around the map for you to search for.
