Tough luck, PC gamers: Halo: The Master Chief Collection will likely remain an Xbox One exclusive.
Speaking to IGN, 343 studio head Bonnie Ross said: “We are focused all on [Xbox One]. It is Master Chief’s story, and it is Master Chief’s story on [Xbox One]. So at this time, we have no plans or nothing to announce for PC.”

Halo: The Master Chief Collection will boast remastered version of Halo’s 1-4, with the HD overhaul given to Halo 2 in particular being given the spotlight by Microsoft and developer 343.
While it will inevitably disappoint Halo fans that The Master Chief Collection probably won’t be coming to the PC, it’s nonetheless an understandable business decision from Microsoft. WIth sales of the Xbox One continuing to disappoint, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is the biggest exclusive game it has under its belt in 2014.
Although it’s questionable whether revamped versions of old games will cause many to go out and plump down the cash for the new console, at this juncture it’s the best hope the hardware manufacturer has got in turning the Xbox One’s disappointing launch around.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection will release on November 11th, and while a PC version of the game hasn’t been definitively ruled out by Ross, 343 or Microsoft, it’s likely that this won’t be the case.
