Saturday’s main event at Lollapalooza 2014 was the reunited Outkast, and we made sure to lock down a good spot in the ocean of people hoping to catch a prime view of Big Boi and Andre 3000 doing their funkalicious thing.
Outkast is well into their festival-headlining tour, and despite playing the roughly same set they did at previous festivals we’ve seen them at this year, they delivered their best performance yet, crushing their main stage headlining slot with a 90 minute blast of endless hits. From the opening bars of “B.O.B.” all the way through the closing “Whole World,” the entire south end of Grant Park was a churning dance party celebration.
