The lovely Kristen Bell completely nails the role of Mary Poppins in the latest Funny or Die clip, but it’s not little kids’ wonder she’s going after this time. The Frozen star has revamped “A Spoon Full of Sugar,” to address some badly needed changes to minimum wage.
Sometimes, a spoonful of gut-punching reality helps the economic appeals go down. The newly politically astute Mary Poppins educates the Banks children on the absurdity of the minimum wage. As she explains, “just a three dollar increase helps make a living wage,” because the current norm of under eight bucks an hour is, as she called it, “supercalifragilisticexpialibullshit”.
