Andy Murray has been knocked out of Wimbledon 2014 in the quarter-finals, marking the first time that he has failed to reach the final four in the tournament since 2008.
The Scotsman, who won the event last year, found himself come undone by Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov, who got the better of him to win 6-1 7-6 (7-4) 6-2.

The 27-year-old failed to mount a decent offense against Dimitrov, with a heap of errors on the Centre Court leading to his disappointing exit from the tournament.
The defeat has ended Murray’s 17-match winning streak at the All England Club, and was also his first slam loss to a player not ranked in the top 10 in four years.
Despite looking back to the crowd during the match in order to garner support, there was little the exhausted Murray could do to fend off Dimitrov, succumbing to the Bulgarian in a little over 2 hours.
