We’re in the thick of Summer Festival season now, with Sasquatch, Coachella and SXSW behind us and Bonnaroo just around the bend. We’re highly looking forward to our annual trip out to Chicago this August to catch Eminem, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys and more at Lollapalooza 2014. Who are we kidding? We’re really headed out there to see OutKast, Portugal. The Man, Nas, Chvrches, Broken Bells and Childish Gambino. The rest is icing.
Over its Aug. 1-3 run, Lollapalooza is expected to once again reach capacity of 100,000 for each day to see 130 bands and artists perform on eight stages. In our kickoff Lollapalooza event video, we discuss Outkast’s onstage evolution over the past few months, the finer points of what we’re looking forward to at this year’s Lolla, as well as what we’re not looking forward to – specifically, watching Eminem lip-sync over recorded beats as he waves his hand around and scowls menacingly.
