Prince Harry has been banned from attending the Carl Froch vs George Groves rematch due to security concerns.
The rematch, which will take place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, 31st May, is being held in front of a record crowd of 80,000, with Harry also wanting to attend. However, his security team have decided against him making an appearance, deeming it too unsafe.
The super middleweight fight for the WBA and IBF titles will be a rematch of their first meeting in November of last year, when Froch stopped Groves in the ninth round after he was knocked to the mat by the challenger in the first.
Speaking about some of the trash talk he’s been spouting prior to the fight, Groves said: “Everything I say for a reason. I didn’t learn the mind games.”
