Yaya Toure “Doesn’t Know” Whether He’ll Stay at Manchester City

Yaya Toure has fuelled speculation that he will be leaving Manchester City, days after his agent said he was unhappy with the club because they’d failed to wish him a happy birthday (read more about that hilarious story here).

According to Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk, Toure was unhappy with his teammates after they had reportedly failed to wish him a happy birthday. Dimitri said that Toure was now interested in joining another club, and Toure’s latest comments certainly suggest that to be true.

Speaking to broadcaster beIN SPORTS, Toure said: “Because of the brilliant season Man City have had, everybody is talking about me and everything is open.

“My agent, Dimitri, is always on the phone and he knows what he has to do because I trust him a lot.

“We don’t know tomorrow, but my focus is on the World Cup and at the end of the World Cup we will see what happens.”

Toure, who will be representing Ivory Coast in the World Cup 2014, said “yes” when he was asked whether he could potentially playing for another club next season. “We never know in football”, added the midfielder. “We never know.”

Taking to Twitter after Dimitri’s comments were made public, Toure wrote: “Everything Dimitri said is true. He speaks for me. I will explain after the World Cup.”

Looks like we’ll be finding out what happens to Toure later this Summer.
