The Sims 4‘s Create-A-Sim tool looks set to be a big improvement over The Sims 3‘s creation mode, as developer Maxis has completely reinvented the feature in order to enable players more choice in the creation of their Sims than ever before.
Ridding the series of the numerous menus that were previously used to customize Sims’ appearances, The Sims 4 now allows players to simply push and pull on regions of their Sims’ bodies with their mouse in order to change their body shape, along with clicking and dragging to alter their facial appearance.
The above trailer also highlights the new detail mode, which allows players to alter the appearance of their Sims down to the very last minute detail. The end result of the new and improved Create-A-Sim feature looks set to allow for much more distinctive looking Sims, that fall more in line with their creators’ visions. Hopefully there are more clothing options in The Sims 4 than there was in The Sims 3, but this has yet to be revealed.
The Sims 4 is set to release on an as-yet-unannounced date in either Q3 or Q4 2014.
