Experimental noise-rocking abstract artists Dot Hacker took part in this year’s Record Store Day with a special 7″ through ORG Music, limited to 1,000 copies. “Whatever You Want,” which you can preview here, was paired with another track entitled “Memory,” which had yet to see the digital light – until today.
CraveOnline proudly presents an exclusive-premiere stream of “Memory,” the latest dose of Dot Hacker’s captivating and otherworldly offerings. The L.A. based outfit features musicians Josh Klinghoffer, Clint Walsh and Eric Gardner, who played together in Gnarls Barkley, and rounded out by Jonathan Hischke, a touring member of Broken Bells. They released their debut album, Inhibition, in 2012, and are expected to release their new album, How’s Your Process?, in two parts this July and September, respectively.
There is no “California sunshine” Chili Peppers lean in Klinghoffer’s Dot Hacker offerings, but rather an enchantingly abstract sound in a world unto itself. Check out “Memory,” exclusively on CraveOnline:
July 1st will see the release of the first How’s Your Process? installment. For more information on Dot Hacker, visit www.dothacker.org and keep up with the guys on Facebook and Twitter.
