The world’s biggest heavy music touring festival has returned with guns blazing. The Rockstar Mayhem Festival has announced the lineup for its seventh annual sojourn, and this year’s traveling metal odyssey will include four stages of heavy music and 20 bands, topped by headliners Korn and Avenged Sevenfold.
Two additional stages were also announced for the fest- the Sumerian Records/Headbang for The Highway stage, and the Victory Records stage. The main stage will feature multi-platinum headliners Avenged Sevenfold, as well as Korn, Asking Alexandria and Trivium. Other stages will feature Cannibal Corpse as well as Suicide Silence (featuring new singer Eddie Hermida), Miss May I, Mushroomhead, Texas Hippie Coalition and King 810. The new stages will feature headliner Body Count featuring Ice-T as well as Upon A Burning Body, Veil of Maya and Emmure as well as Ill Nino, Wretched, Islander, and Erimha, among others.
“We are very excited that in the seventh year of the festival we can bring our biggest lineup ever to heavy music fans across North America,” said festival producers John Reese and Kevin Lyman in a statement. “With such a diverse lineup of great bands and festival attractions, 2014 will give fans an awesome day of Metal and Mayhem.”
Tickets for Mayhem 2014 go on sale on April 4th at 10:00am. The festival will kick off on July 5th at San Manuel Amphitheatre in San Bernardino, CA and will hit a total of 26 cities, ending at The Woodlands, TX (Houston) at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on August 10th.
