Arsenal have landed themselves in hot water after football fans have criticised the club’s players taking a “selfie” following their 1-0 North London derby victory against Tottenham.
The photo, taken by goalkeeper Worjciech Szczesny and also featuring Lukas Podolski and Kieran Gibbs, was snapped in Spurs’ White Hart Lane stadium, leading many to accuse Arsenal of a lack of good sportsmanship.
Hopefully this doesn’t start a trend of footballers taking photos of themselves on the pitch, and if it does then Premier League fans have found themselves an unlikely enemy in the form of Ellen DeGeneres.
