Prince WON’T Be a Glastonbury 2014 Headliner

Prince won’t be headlining Glastonbury 2014, according to festival organiser Emily Eavis.

Rumours have been circulating that the singer would be added to the list of Glastonbury 2014 headliners, but In an interview with BBC Music 6, Eavis revealed that this would not be the case. She said: “He’s someone that will be amazing one day, he’s somebody that we haven’t had, and we would love to have him at Glastonbury. But no, no we haven’t (booked him).”

It was speculated that Prince would join previously announced headliners Arcade Fire at the three-day event, but now we’re once again left to guess which artist is going to take to the infamous Pyramid Stage in Worthy Farm.

The firm favourites at this point in time are Kasabian, with bookies now refusing to take any more bets on the band playing at the festival. Recently, Dolly Parton was confirmed as the latest act to be announced for the festival, which will take between June 27th-29th, in the Pyramid Stage’s “legends” slot which last year hosted Kenny Rogers.
