There have been not one, but two major developments in the world of the Xbox One today. As reported earlier, the hugely-anticipated FPS game Titanfall is set to be bundled in with the Xbox One for FREE, and now it’s been announced that the console is going to receive a price cut in the UK.
Harvey Eagle, Marketing Director of Xbox UK, said: “At Xbox, we believe there’s never been a better time to join the new console generation. To help our fans do just that, Xbox One will be available at the new UK estimated retail price of £399.99 from February 28th. And while supplies last, fans will also get Titanfall – the most anticipated game of the year – included in the box.”
Sony’s PS4 has been shifting more units than Microsoft’s Xbox One since the two consoles launched late last year, and it seems that Microsoft is testing the waters by introducing a price drop in the UK. If all goes well which, considering the newly announced Titanfall bundle, we should imagine it will do, then the US should expect an Xbox One price cut, too. Fingers crossed.
