Kanye West Announces Australian Tour

Kanye West has announced an Australian tour set for May 2014.

Rumours of a Kanye West tour Down Under emerged last week when Ticketek produced a poster featuring five silhouetted “mega” artists (which was later deleted) each announcing Australian visits in the coming days.

Promoters Live Nation confirmed the an Aussie capital city tour on Monday that will see Kanye dart around the country for five stadium shows in the space of eight days.

West will hit Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney beginning May 2nd after last performing in Australia as part of the 2012 Big Day Out.

West’s support act will be Pusha T in his first visit to Australia.

Tickets go on sale Monday, Feb 24, however Live Nation members will get early access on from Tuesday the 18th.

Sunday, May 4 – Adelaide (Adelaide Entertainment Centre)
Tuesday, May 6 – Melbourne (Rod Laver Arena)
Friday, May 9 – Brisbane (Brisbane Entertainment Centre)
Saturday, May 10 – Sydney (Qantas Credit Union Arena)

New Zealand synth-rock outfit The Naked And Famous are supplementing their upcoming performances at the Groovin’ The Moo festival with four headline shows for Australian fans.

The huge success of LPs in Passive Me, Aggressive You and In Rolling Waves were recently on display as part of this year’s Big Day Out, leading to another festival appearance for the Kiwi five-piece as part of the recently announced GTM alongside the likes of Dizzee Rascal and Vance Joy.

The regional festival continues to grow in popularity and has already sold-out the Bendigo leg of this year’s May/April tour.
