Vance Joy, The Jezabels Announce Australian Tours

Vance Joy is currently the hottest name in Australian music and he’s about to embark on a national tour.

Having claimed the top honour in January’s Hottest 100 for polling the No.1 single of the past year as voted by the Australian public, Vance Joy followed up his Triple J crowning by being announced as part of the Groovin The Moo bill.

In addition to his touring with Australia’s top winter festival across six regional destinations, the ‘Riptide’ artist will play five dates in capital cities in April and May.

The overwhelming success of Riptide saw Vance Joy break into the UK top 10 singles chart and gain radio exposure in the US. Now the former VFL footballer is about to head off to Europe for a bunch of sold-out headline shows and support a US tour by Young The Giant along with a date at SXSW.

The Jezabels are also supplementing their ride with Groovin The Moo with a number of capital city sideshows.

The Sydney four-piece are coming off the release of their second album last month, The Brink, which debuted at No.2 on ARIA album chart.

After a hectic 2012 in which the band put together some 200 live shows around the world, The Jezabels weren’t heard of as much in 2013 when they bunkered down in to record in the UK for a large chunk of the year. But that has already changed thanks to the release of The Brink and their recent run with the Laneway Festival.

The Jezabels used Laneway to show off their newly released material and will hit up a number of theatre venues, incuding two Sydney Opera House shows, across Oz with the SXSW-bound Gang Of Youths as a support act.
