Microsoft has sent out a rather controversial new email that asks gamers to “ditch” their PS3’s in exchange for $100 towards a brand new Xbox One.
The email tells PS3 owners to visit their store and “recycle” the console in exchange for store credit that can be used to purchase Microsoft’s new system. View the image shown in the email below.
The image was posted to Twitter by @AllGamesBeta, though no information as to what stores are participating in this deal was revealed.
This is a far cry from the mutual back-patting Sony and Microsoft engaged in around the launches of the PS4 and Xbox One, when both companies were congratulating each other on their respective successes.
