Sony Posts Crash Bandicoot Image on Facebook Page, PS4 Game Seems Likely

Both Sony and Naughty Dog have been hearing the pleas of gamers for Crash Bandicoot‘s return for several years now. Has it finally caved?

Not only has Crash appeared as an easter egg during the PS4’s latest advert (look at the sign @0:49), but Sony PlayStation Denmark’s Facebook page posted the following image to celebrate the holidays:

The Crash Bandicoot IP is owned by Activision, but hasn’t done much since it was laid to rest at the end of the PS1 era. Rumor has it that Sony has purchased the IP so that it has a bombshell to drop in 2014. Really, can you imagine how loud the crowd would be at E3 if Sony were to debut Crash’s return? That’d be a huge deal worthy of the investment.

Naughty Dog currently has two teams working on PS4 games. While one is confirmed to be working on the next Uncharted game, the other hasn’t shared what it’s working on. It did, however, say that 2014 will be a huge year for the company, and that it has some big things to announce. Crash Bandicoot PS4 seems about right.
