EA is seemingly working on a new open-world Star Wars game, after a job posting at Vancouver’s EA Canada revealed that the company is seeking an animation director to work on “a major new next gen open world game”. This was then revealed by the studio’s recruiter as a Star Wars project in the following tweet:

EA acquired the license to develop Star Wars games following the closure of LucasArts, with the studio saying that it is focusing on developing new games within the expansive Star Wars Universe, rather than releasing movie tie-in games for the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII and its inevitable successors.
