Next-gen console launches are no easy job. Thousands of people are involved in designing the product, putting it together, and shipping it so that you can take it home for your sweet pleasure.
In regards to the PS4, most retailers are beginning to receive their shipments (which total over 1 million nationwide), and that includes the largest online retailer in North America: Amazon. An employee at one warehouse snapped an image of thousands of PS4 boxes preparing for processing next week. You can see the image below:
You might notice the boxes appear thin. Well, they are. Sony has managed to effectively package the console, HDMI cable, controller, and more into a box that’s around half the size of the original PS3 box. Similarly awesome is the handle at the top so you can carry it around town showing it off without fear of dropping it in a puddle.
Amazon sold out of the PS4 over a month ago despite Sony stating on several occasions that it has “infinite supply”. How will the holiday rush fare this season? You’ll only have to wait another week to find out.
