Kings of Horror #30: The Mist (2007)

Every day throughout the month of October, William “Bibbs” Bibbiani from The B-Movies Podcast and Ryan Turek from Shock Till You Drop are reviewing a different theatrically-released horror movie based on the works of Stephen King. Day 30 rolls in with Frank Darabon’ts The Mist, an apocalyptic thriller starring Thomas Jane as father trapped in a grocery store when a mysterious mist covers the entire town, infesting it with Lovecraftian monsters big and small. Going outside is deadly, but is staying inside with the religious zealot Marcia Gay Harden even more dangerous?

How does The Mist‘s controversial ending hold up? Is the black and white version better than the theatrical cut? Is this the Stephen King adaptation we’ve all been waiting for? Is The Mist the ultimate horror movie for atheists? Bibbs and Ryan let you know on Kings of Horror.

Come back every single day in October as Bibbs and Ryan review another theatrically-released film based on the acclaimed Stephen King’s novels, short stories and original screenplays on Kings of Horror! Follow your hosts on Twitter at @WilliamBibbiani@_RyanTurek and @STYDNews.
