PS4 Will Support Recording with HDMI Game Capture

Rumors have spread regarding the PS4 being unable to record footage through HDMI. Sony has taken the liberty to shoot them down.

Sony’s Brad Douglas Tweeted the following:

I think we just announced that we’re going to allow video capture of games over HDMI! “Details will follow soon,”

President Shuhei Yoshida followed up by confirming Douglas’ statement, and stated that the support might come with a small patch after the console’s debut.

YouTubers and others who enjoy sharing game footage can breathe a deep sigh of relief. Given the console’s ability to produce vibrant visuals it’d be a crying shame to be limited by its integrated software, as handy as Twitch and others might be.

Sony once again proves that it takes consumer concerns very seriously.
