The Last of Us 1.03 Update Adds New Game Mode for Free

Haven’t hopped on to The Last of Us in a while? That should soon change with the introduction of free new content.

In the upcoming v1.03 update for The Last of Us, Naughty Dog will be adding a new online mode. Titled Interrogation, it’ll pit two teams against each other with the goal of defending a base and keeping teammates up. Why? Each team will need to obtain intelligence from downed players so that they can raid the enemy’s base and crack the hidden safe. You can watch a video of what the mode is like on Kotaku.

The patch will also do the usual of correcting issues and further balancing the game, chief of which are the following:

  • When reviving a teammate, your range has been increased.
  • Item bin locations have been rebalanced in some places.
  • Special executions can now be halted by teammates.
  • Matchmaking has been improved.
  • Item spawns have been tweaked to not give teams too many items.

A release date for the patch hasn’t been announced, but should be in the coming weeks.
