Did you know Grand Theft Auto V requires an 8GB install before playing? Surprised? You aren’t the only one.
Some gamers aren’t too excited about having to give up a sizeable chunk of real estate for GTAV. Rockstar has responded on Twitter by saying:
A bigger install means a bigger game. I don’t know why some of you are complaining.
If you’ve seen the official gameplay trailer you have an idea of how large and detailed GTAV’s world is. It’s taken Rockstar over five years to create, and pushes current-generation hardware to its limit. Because of this, an install is required to properly load assets and maintain a seamless experience not bogged down by loading times.
In a nutshell, if you don’t have enough space on your hard drive then make some, it’ll be worth it.
