Haven, Maine is just a quaint all-American seaside town… isn’t it? That’s what FBI Agent Audrey Parker (played by Emily Rose) is trying to find out in the popular Showcase crime drama “Haven.” And as they prepare for another action-packed third season, two new actors will be joining the cast: Dorian Missick and Kate Kelton.
The series stars Rose (“ER,” “Ghost Whisperer”) along with Ontario native Lucas Bryant (“Faux Baby”) and Eric Balfour (“No Ordinary Family”). Newbie Missick, who hails from East Orange, New Jersey, will play detective Tommy Bowen on the third season of the show, and has appeared in such TV projects as “Southland” and “The Cape.” Kelton was born in Germany but got her acting career started in Toronto by appearing in various ads and then moving into television work, such as “Suitemates” and “The Eleventh Hour” as well as taking on big-screen roles in the hilarious cult classic “Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle” and “American Psycho 2.”
“Haven” is based on the Stephen King novella “The Colorado Kid.” It originally debuted on the SyFy channel back in July 2010, and after two successful seasons, it was announced last October that it had been renewed for a 13-episode third season. “The superb cast, led by Emily Rose, Eric Balfour and Lucas Bryant, along with the terrific production team, delivered a successful season in both critical acclaim and rising viewership,” said Mark Stern, President of Original Content at Syfy and Co-Head of Original Content at Universal Cable Productions, in an official press release. “We’re very excited to see this compelling series return for a third season of supernatural intrigue in 2012.”
The third season of “Haven” premieres on Friday, September 21st on Showcase.
