As fans eagerly wait for an official release date for Fallout Season 2, actor Walton Goggins, who portrays Cooper Howard / Ghoul in the show, has come out to share some promising words for the sequel. Based on the eponymous post-apocalyptic video game, the Amazon series takes place in a dystopian Los Angeles. There, people take shelter in underground bunkers to keep themselves safe from mutants, outlaws, and the thriving radiation. The show debuted in April 2024 to positive reviews from audiences and critics alike. Now, if Goggins’ latest comments are anything to go by, Fallout Season 2 should up the ante significantly.
Walton Goggins hypes up Fallout Season 2 as it goes ‘deep’ into production
During a recent interview, The White Lotus star noted that the Fallout team is actively working towards developing Season 2. He also stated that the sequel would explore the world in a more intricate manner, which should take the show “to a whole another level.”
In the discussion with Complex, Walton Goggins remarked, “We’re deep into Season 2 of Fallout. Now that people understand what the world is, this story just takes it to a whole another level. I’ve been around a long time, and usually, a show that people are attracted to, with that license, the second season really starts cooking, right? That’s when some real magic can happen. And we’re deep into Season 2. It says a lot about a lot- it stays in the lanes of the tone that was set but then veers outside of them in the most interesting ways.”
The veteran actor provided a similar description for Fallout Season 2 in an earlier interview. He also claimed that the sequel will “blow Season 1 out of the water.” However, despite Goggins’ positive updates, the Fallout creators have yet to assign an official release schedule to the much-awaited second season.
