Suits LA and NBC have finally revealed when Gabriel Macht will reprise his role as the suave attorney, Harvey Specter, on the show. Notably, Suits LA serves as the second spin-off of Suits, which aired on USA Network from 2011 to 2019. The first spin-off, Pearson, was broadcast for one season on the same Network before its cancellation.
Here’s when Gabriel Macht’s Harvey Specter is returning to Suits LA
A teaser trailer/promo released after Suits LA Episode 3 revealed that Gabriel Macht would return as Harvey Specter in Episode 4, titled “Batman Returns,” which will air on NBC on March 16, 2025 (March 17 on Peacock).
The official logline of the episode reads, “Ted and Erica (Lex Scott Davis) take on Samantha to save Lester’s (Kevin Weisman) movie, but the battle may hurt his murder trial. Rick (Bryan Greenberg) enlists Stuart’s (Josh McDermitt) help when a difficult actor is arrested. In the past, the danger of going against a mob boss sends Ted to an old friend.”
It’s unclear whether Harvey is this “old friend,” though we do know that at least some of the scenes he appears in are set in the past. Indeed, the teaser reportedly takes place when Stephen Amell’s Ted Black, the primary protagonist of Suits LA, was still playing amateur baseball in New York. He is at a bar with his brother Eddie when Specter begins interacting with them before ordering Macallan 25 for all three.
Ted and Harvey subsequently discuss some type of rivalry between them. It’s unknown whether this is about baseball or a case where they are representing opposing parties. It is also possible that this scene depicts one of the first encounters between the two characters. If that’s the case, they can potentially start as adversaries before becoming friends.
It’s also not clear whether Harvey will appear in any scenes beyond the above-mentioned flashback. Notably, toward the end of Suits, Harvey relocates to Seattle from New York to work closely with Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle).
