SAS: Rogue Heroes Season 3 already planned
During the interview on Playlist’s Bingeworthy podcast, Steven Knigh confirmed that a third season is in the works. Knight stated, “We can’t leave it there. We can’t leave it there. No, no, we will. There’s more to come.” He further teased, “You wait ‘til [Season] 3. Oh my god,” while discussing the character arc of Jack O’Connell’s Paddy Mayne.
Although an official announcement for Season 3 has not yet been made, Knight’s comments indicate that it is already planned. SAS: Rogue Heroes follows the formation of the Special Air Service (SAS) during World War II. Season 1 focused on the North African campaign, while Season 2, which premiered in January 2025, shifted to the European theater.
Knight’s confidence in the show’s continuation was clear in his statements. He also hinted that Rogue Heroes could follow a trajectory similar to Peaky Blinders, where it gains a broader audience over time. Speaking about the show’s future, Knight noted, “We want to take this to the end of the war, and just a bit beyond.”
Season 2 ended with a pivotal moment, referencing the D-Day landings, suggesting that this event could be a major focus in the upcoming season. The show’s progression to this point, and Knight’s comments about its future, imply that the SAS story will continue into the next phase of the war.
The possibility of additional seasons beyond Season 3 remains high, given Knight’s vision and BBC’s support.
