Taylor Swift Rumored for a Movie, TV & Superhero Role

If ongoing speculations are anything to go by, pop sensation Taylor Swift could soon be making her big-screen debut in the superhero genre. She recently made waves at the 2025 Grammys after she secured nominations across six different categories but failed to win in any of them. However, it seems that the “Blank Space” singer has now shifted her focus toward acting, with a recent rumor suggesting that Taylor Swift is in talks with several studios, possibly including Marvel and DC, for a part in an upcoming project.

New rumor states Taylor Swift could soon play a superhero

According to Daniel Richtman, the fan-favorite singer has held conversations with a hoard of studios over a number of projects for a potential role.

In his latest Patreon update, the internet scooper noted that Taylor Swift is presently eyeing to pick her next acting venture from options that include “a limited series for streaming, a big sci-fi film, and a superhero role.”

The singer has long been touted to portray Marvel’s Dazzler, with the first rumor of this kind dating back to the release of X-Men: Apocalypse in 2016. The said theories resurfaced last year, with many speculating that Swift might just make a cameo as the musical mutant in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Moreover, director Shawn Levy helped fuel the fire when he decided not to provide a clear answer to Taylor Swift’s involvement in his superhero flick in a 2024 interview, per SuperHeroHype. Nevertheless, the proposition never came to fruition and indefinitely postponed Swift’s theorized take on Dazzler once again.

Notably, Richtman’s update does not specify any particular studio or organization that the singer is in connection with. As such, it is possible that Taylor Swift could be in talks with the DC Studios for a potential superhero role in James Gunn’s revamped DCU. The 14-time Grammy winner last made an appearance in a high-profile film in 2022, when she portrayed Elizabeth Meekins in David O. Russell’s Amsterdam. However, if Richtman’s insider information turns out to be true, this status could change sooner rather than later.
