As Daredevil: Born Again prepares for its Disney+ premiere, rumors regarding the potential cast of Season 2 have already started to circulate. Seven years after ending its three-season run on Netflix, the Charlie Cox-led Daredevil series is finally making a much-awaited return to the small screens, this time under the official banner of the MCU. While Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher and Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye, two of the most beloved characters from the original show, are assuredly coming back in Daredevil: Born Again, ongoing speculations seem to suggest that the duo also have a part to play in the series’ eventual second season.
Bullseye won’t be done after Daredevil: Born Again
According to a renowned internet scooper, Bethel and Bernthal will reprise their respective Marvel roles for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.
In their latest X (formerly Twitter) update, @MyTimeToShineHello noted, “Punisher and Bullseye will both return in Born Again season 2.” Meanwhile, the follow-up installment of the series is currently in production and has yet to receive an official date from its creators.
Nevertheless, in a recent interview with Screen Rant, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, confirmed that fans can expect Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 to come out sometime next year. “That is the plan. Season 2 will come out next year, and then hopefully, season 3 and season infinity after that. I think this world is extremely rich, and there are many stories to be told on the streets of New York,” he remarked.
Fans last saw Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher in the character’s own titular series, which ran on Netflix for two seasons between 2017-2019. Meanwhile, Wilson Bethel’s Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, AKA Bullseye, has yet to grace the small screen since Daredevil Season 3, which premiered in 2018. Nevertheless, Marvel Studios has yet to share an official word regarding the pair’s supposed return in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.
