Ritter played the title role in Marvel’s Netflix TV series Jessica Jones, which aired from 2015 to 2019, and returned for The Defenders. With Charlie Cox’s Daredevil making a comeback in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again, many fans are eager to see the other Defenders enter the MCU as well.

Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones might return to the MCU

According to industry insider My Time To Shine Hello, Krysten Ritter is reportedly making a return to the MCU in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. However, this has not been officially confirmed by Marvel.

The scooper shared an image of Ritter’s Jessica Jones on X (formerly Twitter) when they made the claim. In another post made a few days back, MTTSH reported that “at least one Defender will be back for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.”

Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 will become available on Disney+ on March 4, 2025. The shooting for Season 2 is set to kick off soon in New York, as confirmed by Marvel’s Head of Television and Streaming Brad Winderbaum in a recent interview with Screen Rant. He told the outlet, “Season 2 will come out next year, and then hopefully season 3 and season infinity after that. I think this world is extremely rich, and there are many stories to be told on the streets of New York.”

Coincidentally, Krysten Ritter has also arrived in New York to begin shooting for an undisclosed project. In Ritter’s recent Instagram story, shared by @KrystenRitterUpdates on X, the actress shared a clip with the caption, “NYC bound baby,” making fans speculate about her potential return.

When asked about whether Defenders Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist will return in the MCU, Winderbaum told Entertainment Weekly, “I can just say that all those variables taken into account, it is certainly something that is creatively extremely exciting and that we are very much exploring.”
