Jackie Tohn, one of the stars of the Netflix romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This, has teased the release date window for Season 2. The popular show debuted on September 26, 2024, and was renewed for the sophomore season less than a month later. The actress also revealed when production for the sophomore season is slated to begin.
Nobody Wants This Season 2 could get a fall 2025 release date, says Jackie Tohn
Actress Jackie Tohn, who portrays Esther in Nobody Wants This, spoke on what she believed would be the release date window for Season 2 during an interview with The Direct at MultiCon on Sunday, February 22. She stated that the second season could come out sometime in the fall of 2025. Tohn also speculated during the same interview that filming for the sophomore season would start on February 24. This comes after Tohn claimed earlier this month that the sophomore season would start filming on March 3.
During the recent interview, Tohn clarified that the fall 2025 release date was not official. She explained, “I think the schedule for the show… I don’t know this, so I hope I’m not putting something out there that’s wrong. But last year, we shot at this exact time in 2024. We shot, like, February, March, April, May, and then we aired in the fall. I think that’s the plan again.”
Created by Erin Foster, Nobody Wants This follows an unlikely pair, Adam Brody’s Noah and Kristen Bell’s Joanne. Noah is a rabbi who encounters Joanne during a dinner party, and they quickly hit it off, even though Joanne is agnostic.
Besides Tohn, Brody, and Bell, the cast also includes Justine Lupe as Morgan, Timothy Simons as Sasha, Stephanie Faracy as Lynn, Emily Arlook as Rebecca, and Paul Ben-Victor as Ilan. At the time of the renewal announcement, it was also revealed that Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan would join the team as showrunners and executive producers for the second season.
