Poker Face Season 2 Cast: Jason Ritter, Carol Kane & Others to Guest Star

Jason Ritter and several other prominent actors have joined the growing list of guest stars for Poker Face Season 2. Streaming on Peacock, Poker Face is a thriller series about Natasha Lyonne’s Charlie Cale, a casino worker who can recognize when people are lying. It follows the case-of-the-week format, enabling it to have an incredible cast of guest actors.

Ritter, Melanie Lynskey, Alia Shawkat, David Krumholtz, and Carol Kane have boarded the cast of Poker Face Season 2, Deadline reported. They will make guest appearances in the sophomore chapter along with Awkwafina, Ben Marshall, BJ Novak, Corey Hawkins, Cynthia Erivo, Davionte “GaTa” Ganter, Ego Nwodim, Gaby Hoffmann, Giancarlo Esposito, Haley Joel Osment, John Cho, John Mulaney, Justin Theroux, Katie Holmes, Kathrine Narducci, Kevin Corrigan, Kumail Nanjiani, Margo Martindale, Method Man, Patti Harrison, Sam Richardson, Sherry Cola, and Simon Rex.

Poker Face was created by Rian Johnson (Looper, Knives Out). Season 1 debuted on Peacock on January 26, 2023, and aired for 10 episodes before concluding on March 9, 2023. Like Season 2, the inaugural season also had an extensive list of guest stars, including Adrien Brody, Ron Perlman, Jameela Jamil, Tim Blake Nelson, Nick Nolte, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and more.

Peacock greenlit Poker Face for the second season in February 2023 before the first season finished airing. Production began in July 2024 and reportedly wrapped in December 2024. It’s unclear whether these new cast members will film new scenes, or they were already involved in the production.

Ritter is known for projects such as Gravity Falls, Another Period, Parenthood, and Matlock. Lynskey, Ritter’s wife in real life, has garnered widespread recognition for her recent roles in Yellowjackets and The Last of Us. Alia Shawkat has acted in Arrested Development, Search Party, and more. David Krumholtz is arguably best known for portraying Charlie Eppes in Numb3rs. Meanwhile, Kane is a veteran actress whose filmography includes Dog Day Afternoon, Annie Hall, and The Princess Bride.

Notably, besides creating the show, Johnson directed several of its episodes in Season 1 and also received executive producer credits. Nora and Lilla Zuckerman served as showrunners in Season 1. Tony Tost took over that duty in Season 2.
