According to popular industry scooper Daniel Richtman, Marvel is planning on introducing a new lover for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in Spider-Man 4. This decision might be an outcome of the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which led to Peter Parker starting anew.
Richtman recently reposted a post on X (formerly Twitter) by a fan account named Marvel Multiverse. It reads, “‘SPIDER-MAN 4’ will reportedly introduce a new love interest for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker.”
Although the rumors about Holland’s Peter Parker getting a new love interest in the upcoming movie are spreading, Zendaya is still set to be a part of the movie. In his post, another industry scooper, MyTimeToShineHello (MTTSH) replied to the aforementioned post and wrote, “Zendaya is still in it so relax.” In a January 22 post, the scooper also posted a Spider-Man 4 casting rumor, stating, “Female lead and main villain already found.”
With Peter embarking on a new journey in Spider-Man 4, the rumor has fans anticipating the possibility of Black Cat appearing in it. As reported by SuperHeroHype before, MTTSH claimed in September 2024 that Sydney Sweeney could become a part of the MCU as Black Cat. But neither Marvel nor Sweeney has commented on it.
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is expected to arrive in theaters in 2026.
