Scream 7: Gen V Actor Asa Germann Cast in the Sequel

Hollywood newbie Asa Germann, who has already garnered much attention for playing Sam Riordan in Gen V, has officially joined the cast of Scream 7. The much-awaited seventh installment in the long-running horror franchise will see the leading lady of the original movie, Neve Campbell, returning as Sidney Prescott. However, it’s still unclear who Germann will be playing the movie.

Asa Germann lands a role in Scream 7

As per Deadline, the creators of the movie have yet to share any update regarding the character that Germann will be playing in Scream 7. The film also does not yet have an official synopsis. However, alongside Asa Germann and Neve Campbell, the sequel will also feature Isabel May as Sidney Prescott’s daughter and Celeste O’Connor in an undisclosed role.

Asa Germann gained global recognition for playing a conflicted Supe in Gen V, who gained his powers after getting experimented on in a secret Vought-led lab. Sam Riordan often experiences trouble maintaining a composed state due to the torture he went through in the lab. As such, he ultimately succumbs to Homelander’s planning and assists him in capturing Hugh Campbell and his friends, completing his entry into The Boys franchise. With The Boys’ fifth season currently filming, it’s likely that Germann’s star will only continue to rise.

Aside from the star-studded cast, which now includes Asa Germann, Scream 7 will also see Kevin Williamson, who wrote the script for the original 1996 movie, in the director’s chair. Guy Busick has stepped in to provide the screenplay for this installment in the slasher franchise. Meanwhile, James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein, who also contributed to the 2022 Scream reboot as well as Scream 6, will once again serve as producers for Project X Entertainment.

Scream 7 is slated to hit theatres on February 27, 2026.
