A Different Man secures the Best Feature prize at 34th Gotham Awards

A Different Man won Best Feature at the 2024 Gotham Awards, beating the likes of Babygirl, Challengers, Anora, and Nickel Boys. A Different Man’s win at 2024’s Gotham Awards occurred on Monday at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

British actor Adam Pearson also received a nomination for his masterful portrayal of Oswald, the professional rival to Stan’s Edward. However, Pearson ultimately lost the Outstanding Supporting Performance award to Sing Sing’s Clarence Maclin.

Directed by Greg Kwedar, Sing Sing proved to be a worthy competitor to A Different Man at the 2024 Gotham Awards. The film dominated the acting categories, with Colman Domingo taking home the Outstanding Lead Performance prize. Meanwhile, RaMell Ross of Nickel Boys secured the award for the Best Director at the event, as per Variety.

Conducted by Gotham Film & Media Institute, the Gotham Awards curate their nomination list by appointing a jury of critics, journalists, and other industry professionals. The winners for each category are then decided by a completely different group of panelists.

Aside from their usual nominees, the 2024 Gotham Awards also honored a select group of Hollywood A-listers. The winners included the likes of Angelina Jolie, Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet, James Mangold, as well as the entire cast of Sing Sing. By bestowing special tribute awards, the event acknowledged the various contributions of the aforementioned stars to the entertainment industry.
