Liam Payne's Funeral: One Direction Reunites

Former 1D singers Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson came together to pay their respects to Liam Payne at his funeral service in Amersham, London. The four musicians had somber expressions as they arrived to bid their final goodbyes to their bandmate.

At the service, a horse-drawn carriage carried the late singer’s casket to the 12th-century church. The dark blue casket had white rose decorations. As per CNN, the carriage displayed two floral tributes on the top. One of them read, “son,” while the other stated, “daddy.”

Cheryl Cole, Liam Payne’s ex-partner and Girls Aloud member, also attended the funeral service on Wednesday. The two shared a 7-year-old son, Bear Grey Payne. Simon Cowell, who was a crucial figure behind 1D’s formation on “The X-Factor,” was also in attendance. He was spotted having an emotional conversation with the late star’s parents. Cowell’s fiancée, Lauren Silverman, accompanied him to the funeral. Talk show host and comedian James Corden was also in attendance.

Liam Payne passed away after suffering “multiple traumas” and “internal and external hemorrhaging” when he fell from a hotel’s third-floor balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16. According to the BBC, the late singer’s toxicology results stated that his body had traces of alcohol, cocaine, and prescription antidepressants in it at the time of his death.
