Cardi B took to social media to share a note for Vice President Kamala Harris. The 32-year-old rapper wrote, “No matter what they’ve said to bring you down or belittle your run for presidency they can never say you didnt run your race with honesty and with integrity.” Cardi B praised Harris for putting up a “fight against all the odds that were already stacked against” her.
She noted how the vice president “never accepted defeat as an option,” which says a lot about her “strength” and “heart.” “You really wanted better for ALL of us,” Cardi B wrote, further sharing that she is “so proud” of Harris. The “WAP” singer added that no one made her “change” her mind, but the Democrat candidate did.
Cardi B continued, “I never thought I would see the day that a woman of color would be running for the President of the United States, but you have shown me, showed my daughters and women across the country that anything is possible.” The rapper concluded the note, “Thank you for being an example, thank you for being empowered, thank you for being a real example of what the American dream should be.”
Before sharing the thank you note for Harris, Cardi also expressed her disappointment over the election result.
