Olivia Rodrigo reveals ‘odd’ first date question she asks guys
Netflix posted a short clip of Olivia Rodrigo revealing how she kept red flag men away during a first date. Rodrigo said she would ask guys a “very oddly specific question” on the first dates. She continued, “I always ask them if they think that they would want to go to space.” The singer said if the guy replied with a “yes,” she wouldn’t date them.
Explaining her out-of-the-ordinary first date question, Rodrigo added, “I just think if you want to go to space you’re a little too full of yourself.” In her opinion, “It’s just weird.” The streaming service further contributed to Rodrigo’s bizarre revelation by captioning the video, “see ya nvr space men.”
In the same interview, Rodrigo addressed the meanings behind her signature tank tops from the GUTS World Tour. The singer shared a little backstory about each of her tops. Discussing the first one which stated, “We come to this place for magic,” Rodrigo explained Nicole Kidman’s AMC Theatres intro reference. She then opined how it is “sometimes better than the movie itself.” She also talked about the one that read “Dump Him,” revealing that it’s a “classic homage to Miss Britney Spears.”
Olivia Rodrigo then briefly steered away from the tank tops to the first date question before resuming with the explanations. Another top stated “Pisces Princess” and the 21-year-old believed she fit the description and was “proud” to be one. The next one read, “I kiss better than I cook,” which she claimed is “true” and described herself as a “good kisser.” She later added that she has also been trying to be a good cook. The final tank top stated “Carrie Bradshaw AF,” which is a reference to her favorite show, “Sex and the City.” Ironically, she wore it during her performance at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, which is where the “Sex and the City” story is set.
