Cardi B has sparked health concerns after canceling her upcoming performance at the ONE Musicfest due to a medical emergency. The rapper’s announcement comes shortly after she recently went live on Instagram to call out the prank caller who sent CPS to her home. Cardi addressed the incident from a hospital bed in the live video. Recently, she also shared that she has been hospitalized for the last couple of days.
Cardi B health update: Rapper says she has been in the hospital
Cardi B shared the statement on her Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). The 32-year-old wrote, “I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple of days.” She added, “I wont be able to perform at ONE MusicFest.” Cardi continued to share her heartbreak over not being able to see her fans over the weekend — “I really wish I could be there.”
The rapper heartfeltly thanked her fans for being understanding and promised to return soon “better and stronger.” While the rapper didn’t disclose why she was sick, she asked her followers not to worry. After the “WAP” hitmaker shared the update, fans rushed to the post’s comments section to wish her a speedy recovery. One commentator wrote, “Heal up and come back strong when you can,” while another stated, “The most important thing is your health.”
ONE Musicfest will be held this weekend on October 26-27 in Atlanta. While Cardi B has pulled out from the two-day festival due to her health, the rest of the lineup includes Gunna, Earth, Wind & Fire, Fantasia, Nelly, Victoria Monét, GloRilla, Keyshia Cole, and more.
Last month, Cardi B welcomed her third child with her estranged husband, Offset. Earlier this year, the “Bodak Yellow” singer filed for divorce from the Migos rapper for the second time. The former couple share three children — Kulture, 6, Wave, 3, and their newborn daughter.
