The former Spice Girl sat down with Anna Wintour for a candid conversation at Vogue’s Forces of Fashion event in New York City. The segment saw Victoria shed light on her upcoming docuseries and her works in the fashion and beauty industry. The 50-year-old also got candid about her family life and marriage to the football icon, David.

Victoria and David Beckham tied the knot in 1999, two years after first coming across each other at a soccer match. Recently, during the Forces of Fashion conversation, Anna Wintour shared she did not think of the final question herself and that “it came from another source.” The 74-year-old asked Victoria the best thing about being married to the former football star, David.
Victoria answered, “You know, David, he’s a great dad. He’s a really, really great dad.” The singer continued to praise her husband and said he is “very kind” and “very generous.” Victoria said David has “an amazing business mind as well” that she finds “inspiring.” The fashion designer added her husband is “a lot funnier than anybody would ever imagine.”
Following that, Anna propelled Victoria to guess who the source was and the former pop star replied, “Probably David himself.” After the iconic Vogue editor confirmed it was him, Victoria jokingly mocked David and said, “He’s very humble.” Meanwhile, the audience erupted in laughter.
Last month, David gushed about falling in love with Victoria while speaking to PEOPLE. After the soccer icon was asked if it was “love at first sight,” he answered, “Well, of course. She was a Spice Girl and sexy and beautiful and charming.” David added, “Then I found out what a strong woman she is. So it’s again the gift that kept on giving.” Earlier this year, the couple, who are parents to four children, celebrated 25 years of marriage and are still going strong.
