Ashley Graham made a powerful statement about body positivity and inclusivity during her runway debut at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The model appeared at the star-studded show in a breathtaking all-black ensemble. Speaking to PEOPLE, Ashley Graham revealed asking for a different outfit before finalizing the runway look. The Victoria’s Secret model recalled that the first lingerie she was given was “this tiny, tiny little underwear,” which she rejected by saying, “Hello, I just had three children.” She continued, “Even though it was like two years ago, but I was like, ‘Is there any more we can put on?'”
Graham shared she later received a bodysuit in which she felt “really sexy.” Moreover, when the wings arrived, the mom of three shared she was like, “Oh yeah, I feel like an Angel. This is hot.” Graham looked stunning in the black lace bodysuit as she made her Victoria’s Secret runway debut. The lingerie brand’s new Angel paired the look with a matching sheer robe and donned a beautiful pair of black wings decorated with golden flowers.
Ahead of the show, Graham told Entertainment Tonight that it is exciting that Victoria’s Secret is finally going into “extended sizes.” The model revealed, “That’s why I said yes because they really are thinking about everyone.” Graham also added that she enjoys being a woman who keeps her word. As an advocate of inclusivity, she explained that she makes sure that the companies she lines up with are “servicing” the women who follow the model who are “larger.”
This year, Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show finally returned after a six-year-long hiatus. The awaited fashion affair also brought back the runway maestros Tyra Banks, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Adriana Lima. Meanwhile, the show included spectacular performances by Tyla and Blackpink’s Lisa.
