The 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show witnessed Gigi Hadid paying homage to her best friend Taylor Swift and her Eras Tour wave. Hadid spilled the beans about learning the iconic move during Swift’s record-breaking tour. The 29-year-old model dished, “In one of her rehearsals, she was like, “‘I’m gonna show you how we do this,’ and did that and now I’m using it tonight.” She believes it was “new” for her on the VSFS runway since she “can’t remember if it’s ever been done.” ET’s Rachel Smith called it a perfect example of “friends helping friends.”
While Taylor Swift was absent from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Gigi Hadid ensured that she would give her bestie a nod at the event. To this day, Swift’s previous solo performance of her hit song “I Knew You Were Trouble” for the 2013 VSFS and her collab with Fall Out Boy to perform the rock band’s popular track “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)” remain etched in memory.
